Showing anisotropic thermal conductivity with Moldflow

Using fiber orientation for improved thermal analysis

Moldflow Insight 2024 now has the ability to show anisotropic thermal conductivity!

If you are using a conductive fiber like carbon, Moldflow will now use the fiber orientation to also calculate the thermal conductivity tensor. As the fiber alignment increases, so will the thermal conductivity. Under the Fiber Solver Parameters – just click YES to Consider Fiber Effect on Thermal Conductivity.

You can also export this result to use in structural or thermal analysis outside of Moldflow Insight.

Have you installed Moldflow Insight 2024 yet?
