Moldflows flavourful 3D Grill

We’ve eaten our vegetables, now it’s time for steak!

Happy Moldflow Monday!

don’t you love when new features are released inside of Moldflow?

3D Grill features were released in the 2023 release but incase you haven’t been able to use it a lot, here is a description of the new feature.

Instead of having a detailed model with hundreds of holes, one can now use a simplified 3D mesh and simply assign a Cross-Sectional shape to the tetrahedrons. You can choose the shape of the holes, blind vs through holes, as well as the size and spacing of the holes.

This allows the model to run much faster while giving the same level or accuracy for filling patterns, pressure, fiber orientation, and warp.

Have you tried the 3D Grill option yet?
