What’s the Extensional Viscosity in Moldflow?

Extensional Viscosity – What is it and how can we use this to make accurate Moldflow simulations?

The extension viscosity model describes the dependence of the viscosity on the shear rate, temperature, pressure, and extension rate in 3D flow. This can impact our pressure predictions when using 3D meshes for both our part and runner systems.

This option is not checked by default so the analysts need to understand and use this option when appropriate.
