Why a ram speed profile in Moldflow Insight can be useful!

I do not like using Ram Speed profiles in Moldflow, mostly because I end up making mistakes in the process setup. Some parts can benefit from profiling the injecting and if your process engineers are using ram speed profiles, we better know how to set them up in Moldflow.

Absolute ram speed profiles require specific machine information while relative ram speed profiles are more generic and do not require actual machine information. Both can simulate the injection speed changing during the filling.

Bonus tip – this is probably on the Certification exams!

Have you ever used a ram speed profile in Moldflow Insight?
