Define local mesh densities in Moldflow Insight

I get excited about meshing in Moldflow Insight.

Sometimes, my mesh excitement leads me to overlook the use of Local Mesh Densities. If you need additional mesh refinement, you can add a local mesh density to the CAD face prior to meshing (Mesh Tab – Mesh Panel – Local). This will use the global auto-sizing on the model but locally mesh select surfaces (usually with a more refined mesh).

This can be useful for small features at the end of fill, thin ribs, or living hinges.

Learn how to define local mesh densities by visting our Moldflow Insight Essential Basics training course.
