Navigating through Family Molds with Moldflow

Some say that they hate using family molds and strongly advise against it.

If you’re dead set on going ahead with it though, at least make sure you nail down those shrinkage values.

Since Moldflow 2023, you can actually check the shrinkage compensation for each cavity in a family mold separately. Just turn on the Shrinkage Compensation and switch off the layers for each cavity to see the values adjust right there on the screen.
